Sophia is a Costa Rican-American freelance photographer, originally from Mississippi. She came across the Wayfaring Band on a series of off-chances, but knew she had to be a part of this group of curious adventurers the second she met them. Calderon had the opportunity to travel to Berlin, Germany for the Special Olympics World Games in June of 2023 with the band and has described it as "one of the most transformative experiences of her life". Her mixed-media ode is a colorful tribute to the local art the band encountered wandering the streets of inner-city Berlin, as well as the vibrant, life-giving energy they were met with at the Special Olympics World Games. The piece includes collage-style photographs Calderon took of the group throughout the duration of the trip.

Calderon says she is grateful to have made 11 new close friends and hopes that everyone gets to experience the love that comes with being a fellow wayfarer.
